Quick and Dirty translations -- What and Why

I've been doing "fastpass" (i.e. Quick and Dirty MTL from a single source with minimal editing) translations of the books because of what I've noticed in Google translations. Compare these two:

For some reason, I started to get "lobotomized" translations from Google. And I've found that Google translations are far superior to DeepL translations (that's another story if anyone is interested. Ask in my discord), so it's my main translation engine.

 

It went back to "good", so I decided to get a "rough" translation of EVERYTHING before the lobotomized translations became the norm so that I could at least read them.

 

While not perfect (wrong pronouns everywhere, rough translations, sometimes the "positive" or "negative" of the sentence is wrong), it's at least readable.

 

I'll be going back and cleaning up the "fastpass" translations, but that will take quite some time, so I decided to make the "fastpass" translations availble to people who can't wait.

I'd appreciate it if somone could do some proofreading and some formatting. I've been working on this so long it's a bit of a blur.

And, since the original Japanese was like that, there are many places where single paragraphs are splite into multiple paragraphs. Someone sould assemble them. For example,
